thoughts so far
all is well. i have been meeting tons of cool people and eating tons of good for and going to tons of cool places. the nature is so damn alive out here i can barely believe it. i have been places in glacier in the last few weeks that felt as though there had not been other humans there for months, if not years. (and there most likely had not) i had never been in such wild and vital places. glacier is beyond words. it is a true gem and all americans should see it and be proud of having it within our borders. im heading down to the kootenai national forest on monday for 8 days and then i have 6 days off! pretty sure im gonna head out to portland oregon during that break. should be fun. lots of love to all.
second hitch
Our second hitch was working on barb wire fence and building jack-leg fence in east Glacier. It was a ten dayer and was also extremely impressive. These pics are from our worksites and from hikes we went on as a crew.
first hitch
Our first hitch was working with the nursery in west Glacier. We spent 4 days planting newly paved turnouts on Going to the Sun road with native plants. These pics are all taken from our worksites. It was unreal.
First few weeks
We spent the first few weeks getting oriented and exploring the Flathead Valley. The first three pics are from a trip up to Bowman lake, which is in the western half of Glacier Park. The last pic is from up on a hill outside of Kalispell with a few friends.
